Convicted killer, 62, found after escape from Archambault Institution in Quebec’s Laurentians

Correctional Service Canada says a convicted killer who escaped from a prison in Quebec’s Laurentians region has been apprehended.
Staff discovered Richard Plourde was missing from his minimum-security unit at about 11 p.m. on Sunday.
The 62-year-old was serving a life sentence for second-degree murder at Archambault institution in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines — North of Montreal.
At approximately 3:40 p.m. On Monday, Plourde was apprehended by the Sûreté du Québec.
Correctional Service Canada says it is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
