One person found unconscious after fire in Longueuil

A person was found unresponsive following a fire at a residence in the Saint-Hubert sector of Longueuil on Monday morning.
Longueuil Police (SPAL) said patrol officers were called to assist the Longueuil Fire Department shortly before 7 a.m. to a house fire on Viger Street this morning.
“One unresponsive person was found at the scene,” said the SPAL in a post shared on social media. “A second person was severely affected by smoke. They were treated by paramedics.”
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
“A scene has been set up,” the SPAL said. “Our specialized investigators and our Forensic Identification Section are expected to arrive.”
