Man dies in Anjou after gunshots were heard

A man in his 20s was found dead in an apartment in Anjou late Wednesday afternoon, after possibly being shot.
Montreal police (SPVM) say they responded to a call made to 911 after 4:30 p.m. for “possible gunshots” in a building on des Ormeaux Avenue near Georges Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A security perimeter has been set up on des Ormeaux between Châteauneuf and Georges
Witnesses will be interviewed and security cameras checked to provide further details on what police believe was a death under unknown circumstances.
Police said this is the 20th homicide of 2025.
An investigation is ongoing.
