High temperatures for Montreal this weekend, special weather statement in effect

High temperatures are expected for Montreal this weekend, with a mix of sun and showers in the forecast.
Environment and Climate Change Canada issuing a special weather statement for Friday, Saturday and Sunday – for Southern and Central Quebec. They are expecting maximum highs between 29°C and 32°C, and humidex values between 35°C and 39°C. Minimum temperatures between 17°C and 20°C.
“A warm and humid airmass will affect several regions of Southern and Central Quebec beginning this afternoon. The heat could lead to exhaustion, especially among vulnerable people, who may be more affected by these conditions,” explains the weather agency.
By almost 8:45 a.m. on Friday morning, it was already feeling like 29°C with the humidex, expected to reach 35°C. Cooling to 20°C at night.
Mainly sunny skies on Saturday and 38°C with the humidity. Then dipping to 24°C in the evening.
Rain moving in for Sunday with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 29°C. The wet weather continues at night, and into Monday with a muggy 28°C forecasted.
The sunshine will return on Tuesday and stick around until at least Wednesday, when more showers could move in that evening.
