Honoré Mercier Bridge down to one lane over weekend for repairs

Transport Quebec says more work will be happening on the Honoré Mercier Bridge over the coming weekend.

The latest partial closure will be for repairs to be conducted on steel slabs and elements.

One lane of traffic will be available in each direction on the bridge starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, July 18.

This will remain until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 21.

Heavy congestion in the surrounding area is expected, and drivers are asked to find alternate routes.

The Ministry recommends that road users who will have to travel in the area allow additional time to reach their destination.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, the partial closure may be extended, cancelled or postponed.
