Risk of thunderstorms for Montreal today

As Montrealers woke up to mainly sunny skies on Thursday, a downpour might be coming as it’s going to potentially be a stormy day.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is forecasting a risk of thunderstorms late this afternoon. An increase of cloudiness is possible this morning then showers beginning later in the day with a high of 29°C but feeling more like 33°C with the humidity.

These showers are expected to end near midnight — about 10 mm to 15 mm of rain is forecasted to fall over Montreal.

Skies are clearing tomorrow with a high of 24°C.

Right now Saturday is expected to be cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 17°C.

As for Sunday, a daytime high of 18°C — ECCC forecasting a mix of sun and cloud with 40 per cent chance of showers.

Those clouds, expected to stay for Monday too with the mercury also stable at 18°C.

The temperature rising for Tuesday — with a daytime high of 22°C. The mix of sun and clouds continuing and is forecasted to trickle into Wednesday as well.
