Light pole struck in downtown Montreal, removed

A light pole was left leaning after an accident on Friday morning in downtown Montreal.

It happened on René Lévesque Blvd. west, between Crescent and de la Montagne.

Traffic was reduced to one lane going west – as workers sought to remove the pole safely.

By 11 a.m. – all that was left in place of the light pole was an orange cone.

Police didn’t have any further information as to what exactly happened.
