Minister Caroline Proulx taking a break

Minister for Seniors Caroline Proulx is temporarily stepping back from politics to grieve.
“A few months ago, I lost my mother suddenly and violently. In the whirlwind of political life, I haven’t had time to fully grieve,” she wrote on social media on Wednesday evening.
“I am therefore taking a few weeks’ break to catch my breath and refocus,” the minister added.
Caroline Proulx was appointed Minister for Seniors and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women in the recent cabinet reshuffle. She previously served as Minister of Tourism.
Her colleague, Lionel Carmant, Minister responsible for Social Services, will take over her files during her absence.
“Our government remains fully committed to seniors and women,” she assured.
