The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has reported an outage with their Primary Inspection Kiosks impacting some airports across the country, including Montreal-Trudeau Airport.
A spokesperson for the Trudeau airport says the outage began around 10:30 a.m., but had little impact as passenger volume was low at the time.
They add that the outage at CBSA’s primary inspection kiosks has been resolved in Montreal, and systems are gradually coming back online.
Pearson said the outage impacted Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and passengers were advised to expect to experience longer-than-normal wait times.
Billy Bishop is also affected by the outage including airports in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Halifax.
The outage began around 11:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and was resolved just before 2 p.m.
“Travellers may continue to experience delays in the short term as we resume normal processing operations,” CBSA said in an updated on X.
During the outage, CBSA said travellers were re-directed to inspection lines for manual processing by border services officers.
