Longueuil police (SPAL) are appealing to the public to identify an individual who was allegedly filmed without consent during a sexual encounter by a 41-year-old man from Candiac.
Authorities charged the suspect Mamady Keita with voyeurism and extortion, earlier this month, in connection with a sexual extortion case.
In a press release, SPAL says Keita allegedly extorted a woman using secret recording of an intimate encounter at his former home in May.
An investigation was launched following a complaint in June
During a search of Keita’s home, investigators say they found evidence that he secretly recorded at least one other person during sex.
“The investigation shows that the victim sought is believed to have had an intimate relationship with Mamady Keita at his former home in Candiac on the afternoon of April 26, 2024,” police said.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the victim.
Those who have allegedly been victimized by Keita or have information about it are asked to call SPAL at (450) 463-7211.
The allegations have not been tested in court.
