Road delays expected on Highways 25, 40 over coming days due to ongoing construction

Montreal drivers can expect more delays while on some roads over the coming days.
Transport Quebec says overnight work will be taking place on Highway 25 between Oct. 27 and Nov. 1, as well as daytime work on Highway 40 from Nov. 1 to 3.
Highway 25
Part of Highway 25 southbound will see nighttime closures starting at 8 p.m. on Oct. 27, between Exit 5 — Route 138, Sherbrooke Street, Yves-Prévost Blvd. — and Exit 7 — W.-Pelletier Blvd. / Châteauneuf Blvd.– until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and again at 8 p.m. on Tuesday before reopening at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
That section will then be closed from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, before reopening at 5 a.m. on Oct. 31.

The entrance from Sherbrooke Street East and Exit 7 — W.-Pelletier Blvd. / Châteauneuf Blvd. — will also be closed
Following this, Highway 25 northbound between Exit 5 — Route 138, Sherbrooke Street, Yves-Prévost Blvd. — and the entrance from Yves-Prévost Blvd. will be closed starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, before reopening at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.
This closure will also be in place from 11 p.m. on Saturday until 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2.
Ramp access from des Futailles Street to Highway 25 southbound will also be closed on Friday night, from 00:30 a.m. to 5 a.m.
Lastly, there will be a complete closure of Exit 3 — Notre-Dame Street, Hochelaga Street — of Highway 25 northbound, from Sunday to Monday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Transport Quebec also notes that the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel will remain open during this period.
Highway 40
Transport Quebec also says Highway 40 will see some partial closures at the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge.
From 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, one lane will be closed in each direction on Highway 40 between Gouin Blvd. East in Montreal and Route 344 — Saint-Charles Road — in Terrebonne until 8 p.m.
Due to this, a westbound lane will be detoured in the opposite direction to the eastbound direction.

Additionally, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, one lane will be closed in both directions on Highway 40 between Gouin Blvd. East in Montreal and Route 344 — Saint-Charles Road — in Terrebonne;
This lane closure will also be happen from 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
During this time, a westbound lane will be detoured in the opposite direction to the eastbound directio,n and the access ramp leading from Montée des Pionniers to Highway 40 will be closed, with detour signs in place.
In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, the work may be postponed.
Drivers are being reminded to check Quebec 511 prior to hitting the streets to ensure they know the best way to travel.
