Man facing charges for sexually exploiting minors in Montreal

Montreal police say they are looking for potential victims of a man who is facing charges in connection with allegedly sexually exploiting minors earlier this year.

SPVM says 36-year-old Hervé Rouleau Turcotte was arrested on June 9 in connection with an alleged incident in May 2025.

Through an investigation, police believe that Turcotte has used several social media platforms, such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook, to contact teenage girls between the ages of 12 and 17 for sexual purposes.

It is believed that he would a fake account using a female profile and have friendly conversations to establish a relationship, at which point he’d encourage the teens to talk to him under his real identity and by continuing to exchange text messages and video calls.

From there, under the pretext of a phone change and claiming to have found their number by chance, he sent a photo of himself and mentioned working in the restaurant industry, thus starting the discussion.

Police say this would lead to a romantic relationship, where he would compliment and encourage the teens with daily messages and calls, which would then lead to more explicit exchanges, and where he would allegedly incite the young girls to sexual contact and try to organize meetings.

The SPVM’s online child sexual exploitation investigation team believes that he may have made other victims in Montreal and the surrounding area over the past ten years.

Police say he is facing several charges, including invitation to sexual touching, luring of minor victims and production, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Due to this, they are looking for potential victims, who may have been in contact with Turcotte.

SPVM says he is 36-years-old, but may have said he was 26 or 27. He speaks French with a slight accent. Is 1.78 m tall and weighs 84 kg, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Additionally, police have released images of Turcotte over the years.

Anyone who may be a victim is asked to contact their local police station or call Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133.
