Winter is coming: From rain to snow across Montreal

Montrealers brace yourselves, winter weather will officially begin in the city this week.

The week kicks off with rain this morning and increasing cloudiness, keeping temperatures around 7°C. Tonight, the rain tapers off, leaving a cloudy sky and a low of 3°C.

Thursday brings a mix of sun and clouds, with highs near 2°C, while the night turns crisp and clear, dipping to –3°C.

Friday sees periods of rain returning, reaching 5°C during the day, followed by overnight showers and a mild low of 5°C.

Showers continue into Saturday, with temperatures climbing to 10°C, though the night brings more clouds and a chance of lingering rain, settling to 3°C. By Sunday, rain dominates the day with a high of 7°C, turning to snow overnight as temperatures drop to –2°C.

Monday marks the official arrival of winter, with periods of snow and highs around 0°C. The night stays cloudy, with flurries possible and lows plunging to –5°C, so winter jackets and snow boots are back in play.
