Woman killed in Terrebonne accident between vehicle and public transit bus

A woman died Wednesday evening after her vehicle collided with a public transit bus in Terrebonne, in Lanaudière.

The Terrebonne Police Department said in a statement that the accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Montée Gagnon at the intersection of Rang St-François.

Terrebonne police said the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. There were passengers on board the bus, but none of them were injured.

Police investigators, assisted by a forensic technician, are on site to determine the cause of the accident.

Montée Gagnon is closed during the investigation, the police said.
