Legendary singer-songwriter Sir Paul McCartney will have thousands of Montrealers on their feet this week.
The former “Beatle” takes the stage for the first of two shows at the Bell Centre on Monday night as part of his career-spanning “Got Back” tour.
“Fourteen years ago, I had a poster up that said, please sign my bum. And Paul McCartney talked to me all night long. I was in the paper the next day, it was actually pretty cool,” said one fan.
Another saying, “I started listening to the Beatles when I was 15 years old. My first two albums were Revolver and Rubber Soul, and I couldn’t stop crying for days. It was that emotional.” Adding, “The fact that I’m here to see you with my three children, it’s amazing. I cannot explain that in words.”

McCartney is also performing in Montreal Tuesday night before he heads to Hamilton for a concert on Friday – the only other Canadian tour stop.
The famed musician is expected to perform several Beatles classics such as “Hey Jude,” “Let it Be,” and “Get Back.”
“We sang all the words to every single song that was in the whole show. So that was a wonderful memory recently of my father who passed,” said one fan.
Another saying, “It’s a chance of a lifetime. It is really. It’s like one of the biggest and he’s a mention.”

McCartney’s short tour kicked off Sept. 29 and ends Nov. 25.
“It was always kind of around, but I didn’t start like listening to it by myself until like maybe three years ago,” said one fan.
While another said, “A big Beatles fan from many decades. So it’s all going to be great. Beatles and even after he split out on his own and it’s all, it’s all great.”
Montreal is one of just a few venues hosting two shows instead of one.
