Montreal police are investigating a second attempted arson at a commercial building in Dollard-des-Ormeaux in less than a week.
Police say a 911 call came in around 2 a.m. reporting suspects who were believed to be preparing to set fire to a business near Brunswick Boulevard and des Sources Boulevard.
When officers arrived, the suspects had already fled.
The SPVM says there were no signs of a fire, no damage to the building and no incendiary materials found at the scene.
According to early information from a witness, several individuals were seen loitering near the business and may have intended to commit arson.
The investigation has been handed over to the SPVM’s arson squad, which is also looking into a similar incident reported on Nov. 30.
Police say they are reviewing potential surveillance footage from nearby properties.
No arrests have been made.
