STM extends metro service for New Year’s celebration in Montreal

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) announced Monday that the metro services will be extended on the night of Dec. 31, 2025, to Jan. 1, 2026.
Metro service will be extended by around two hours on lines 1 (Green), 2 (Orange), and 4 (Yellow). Riders on line 5 (Blue) will not benefit from this extended schedule.
“This exceptional measure is intended to provide an efficient and safe transportation option for those planning to celebrate the arrival of the new year, taking into account the fact that several large parties and gatherings are planned throughout the city,” STM said in a statement.
Regular fares will apply.
Green line
- Direction Angrignon: Last departure from Honoré-Beaugrand: 2:45 a.m.
- Direction Honoré-Beaugrand: Last departure from Angrignon: 2:42 a.m.
Orange line
- Direction Côte-Vertu: Last train departs from Montmorency at 2:40 a.m.
- Direction Montmorency: Last train departs from Côte-Vertu 2:37 a.m.
Yellow line
- Direction Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke : Last train departs from Berri-UQAM at 3:07 a.m.
- Direction Berri-UQAM: Last departure from Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke 3:07 a.m.
