Police investigate shots fired in Longueuil

Longueuil Agglomeration Police (SPAL) are investigating after shots were fired Thursday evening in a residential neighborhood of Longueuil.

Emergency services were called to Rouville Street around 8:20 p.m. after several residents reported hearing loud bangs believed to be gunfire.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered at least one shell casing on the ground. No injuries were reported, and no victims were located at the scene.

Police established a security perimeter to protect the area while investigators searched for one or more suspects. Rouville Street was closed between Saint-Charles West and Providence streets late into the evening.

The investigation remains ongoing.
