REM service not available this weekend
Posted December 27, 2025 11:03 am.
Service will be interrupted across the entire Réseau express métropolitain (REM) this weekend to allow for testing on the A3 branch, which will serve Montreal’s West Island.
Shuttle buses will be provided to compensate for REM closure on Saturday and Sunday.
REM has indicated on its website that this service interruption will allow it to conduct “final tests in preparation for the commissioning of the A3 branch,” which will terminate at Anse-à-l’Orme station in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.
This section of REM is scheduled to open in spring 2026.
REM has also announced an early closure of the entire network on Jan. 9, 2026 at 9 p.m. to allow for further testing on the A3 branch.
