Downtown Montreal to get new skating rink: Patinoire sous l’Anneau

Lace up your skates, Montrealers — a brand-new ice rink is about to glide into the heart of downtown.

The Patinoire sous l’Anneau is coming to Esplanade PVM this winter.

From Feb. 27 to March 29, 2026, the completely free outdoor rink will be open to everyone.

Organizers say the goal is to create a new urban experience, blending sport, fun and Montreal energy right in the city core.

Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just finding your balance, this is one winter activity you won’t want to slip past.
