Mixed precipitation ahead as colder weather returns to Montreal

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says the day will start with a mix of sun and cloud, with a few flurries expected to develop in the afternoon. Winds will be noticeable, shifting from the southwest at 30 km/h, gusting up to 50 km/h. Temperatures will fall to minus-2 Celsius by the afternoon. With the wind, it will feel closer to minus-9 C. The UV index will be low.

Sunday night will stay mostly cloudy after a few flurries end late in the evening. Winds from the west will continue at 30 km/h, gusting to 50. The low will drop to minus-10 C, and wind chill values will make it feel like minus-18 C overnight.
Monday starts off cloudy, with a few flurries developing in the morning. Winds will be from the southwest at 20 km/h, gusting to 40. The high will reach minus-1 C. Wind chill will be biting early, near minus-18 C in the morning, before easing to about minus-7 C in the afternoon. Monday night stays cloudy with a low near minus-1 C.

Tuesday brings milder air. It will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 2 C. Tuesday night, rain or snow is expected, with temperatures holding near 1 C.
Wednesday looks wet, with periods of rain and a high near 5 C. Wednesday night could be messy, with periods of rain or snow before temperatures tumble to minus-10 C.
Winter tightens its grip again Thursday, with periods of snow and a high of minus-10 C. Thursday night will have cloudy periods and a low of minus-17 C.
By Friday, expect a mix of sun and cloud and a high of minus-10 C. Friday night stays partly cloudy, with temperatures dipping to minus-13 C.
The week wraps up Saturday with a mix of sun and cloud and a 60 per cent chance of flurries. The high will be around minus-9 C.
