Water damage has forced the temporary closure of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) service centre in Pointe-Claire.
The service centre on Saint-Jean Boulevard will be closed “for an indefinite period.” The province’s auto insurance board did not indicate what led to the water damage.
Emergency repairs are underway, but the SAAQ warns “cleaning and securing” the building, which is owned by a third-party, will take longer.
“We will contact everyone with an appointment to reschedule it at another service centre,” the SAAQ wrote. “Clients can also choose to postpone their appointment in Pointe-Claire.
“The SAAQ is aware that this situation could cause inconvenience for its customers. We thank them for their understanding and cooperation.”
