7-year-old struck by transit bus in Longueuil

A 7-year-old child was struck by a Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) bus on Friday evening in Longueuil.
Fortunately, the child’s life is not in danger, according to the Longueuil Police Department (SPAL).
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 6 p.m. on Desaulniers Boulevard.
“There was a collision between the victim and the Réseau de transport de Longueuil bus. The child was quickly taken care of and transported to a hospital. The injuries were minor,” said SPAL spokesperson Jacqueline Pierre.
The gender of the child has not been specified.
“A scene was briefly set up and has now been cleared. Everything indicates that there was no criminal element,” said the SPAL spokesperson.
The investigation is ongoing.
