25-year-old man shot and killed in LaSalle: SPVM

A 25-year-old man died Thursday morning after he was found shot Wednesday night in LaSalle.
This is the second murder of the year on Montreal Police (SPVM) territory.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. last night, when calls came into 911 about a gunshot heard near the intersection of Broadway Street and 7th Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying unconscious on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he latter succumb to his injuries.
Authorities say the suspect(s) fled before police arrived and no arrests had been made as of Thursday morning.
Investigators are seeing if surveillance cameras captured any images that could help them in this case.
They have yet to determine any more details.
A security perimeter was erected around the crime scene and was still there at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
