Montreal’s spring break week brings temperature swings, freezing rain and weekend rain

Montrealers heading into spring break will see a little bit of everything in the week ahead, from wind chills well below zero to milder temperatures and a stretch of rain.
Tuesday brings a mix of sun and cloud with a high of minus-1 Celsius and a wind chill of minus-13 C in the morning. Conditions improve slightly Wednesday with a high of 6 C, though it will still feel like minus-9 C early in the day.
Sunshine is expected Thursday with a high of 3 C, but freezing rain is forecast overnight.
Rain moves in Friday and continues through Saturday, with daytime highs ranging from 4 C to 6 C. The unsettled weather lingers into Sunday with a mix of sun and cloud and a 60 per cent chance of showers. Temperatures will climb to around 8 C Sunday and Monday.
Those making spring break plans may want to keep the umbrella, and winter coat, close at hand.
