Montrealers wake up to drizzle and gusts, warmer days ahead

Montrealers stepping out Sunday morning may want to keep a jacket and umbrella close by, as drizzle, fog and gusts to start the day before conditions gradually improve.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says periods of drizzle will end this afternoon, giving way to a mix of sun and cloud as fog patches dissipate through the morning.
Strong southwest winds will be noticeable early in the day, blowing at 20 kilometres per hour and gusting to 40 km/h before increasing to 40 km/h with gusts up to 60 km/h early this morning.
Temperatures will fall to 5 Celsius in the morning and then remain steady through the day. The UV index will sit at 1, or low.
Tonight, skies will become partly cloudy. Southwest winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h will become light after midnight. The overnight low will be 3 C.
Monday is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud before clearing in the afternoon. Winds will pick up again, becoming southwest at 30 km/h and gusting to 60 km/h late in the morning. The high will reach 14 C, with a UV index of 4, or moderate.
Clear skies are expected Monday night with a low of 4 C.
The warm stretch continues Tuesday with sunny skies and a high of 15 C. Showers are expected overnight with temperatures dropping to zero.
Rain moves in Wednesday with a high of 3 C, continuing into the night with a low of 1 C.
Thursday will bring periods of rain or snow and windy conditions, with a high of 2 C. Flurries are possible overnight with cloudy periods and a low of minus-10 C.
Friday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of flurries and a high of minus-1 C. Cloudy periods and a 40 per cent chance of flurries are expected overnight with a low of minus-9 C.
Saturday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 1 C.
