Montreal weather: Below average temperatures to start, spring weather returns by end of week

Monday will be cloudy and windy through the night. Gusts of up to 40 km/hour during the day and 50 km/hour overnight are possible.

The day will see a high of 5 Celsius and a low of minus-6 C tonight with wind chill of minus-14 C.

The cold spell will remain Tuesday morning with a wind chill of minus-16 C expected. A dusting of snow is forecast with two centimetres possible. Daytime high will be 0 C. The clouds clear by night as temperature drops to minus-8 C.

Wednesday will be sunny with a high of 6 C and a low of minus-1 C.

Spring weather returns Thursday with sunny skies and temperatures reaching 14 C during the day. Night will be clear with a low of 5 C.

Friday will see similar conditions with a high of 14 C. But there is a 60 per cent chance of showers in the evening and low of 3 C.
