IN PHOTOS: Montréal Victoire celebrate historic Walter Cup win with downtown parade

Thousands of Montrealers showed up to cheer on the Montréal Victoire team’s recent Pro-Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Walter Cup win during a victory a parade downtown Montreal Saturday.

The celebration comes just days after the Victoire captured the Walter Cup by defeating the Ottawa Charge 3-1 in the best-of-five PWHL final series.

Players and coaches appeared on stage at the Quartier des Spectacles beginning at 11 a.m., with festivities taking place along Sainte-Catherine Street between Bleury and Clark streets. The celebration is expected to continue until 1 p.m., and no tickets or reservations are required.
