Warm and sunny stretch continues as temperatures climb in Montreal

Montrealers can look forward to a stretch of summer-like weather across the region, with sunshine and rising temperatures expected to dominate the forecast through much of next week.
Wednesday will be sunny with a high of 29 Celsius. Winds will become westerly at 20 km/h by noon, while the UV index will reach 8, considered very high. Clear skies are expected overnight with a low of 16 C.
The heat will build further on Thursday as mainly sunny conditions continue. Temperatures are forecast to reach 30 C, with a humidex value of 32 making it feel even warmer. Southwest winds could gust up to 40 km/h during the afternoon. Cloudy periods will move in Thursday night with temperatures remaining mild at 20 C.
A change in conditions arrives Friday as skies turn cloudy. Despite the increased cloud cover, temperatures will remain seasonably warm with a high of 26 C. Cloudy conditions are expected to persist Friday night.
The weekend forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, with a 40 per cent chance of showers on Saturday and Saturday night. Daytime highs will remain in the mid-20s, reaching 25 C.
Sunshine returns on Sunday with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 27 C before clearing overnight.
The warm pattern continues into next week, with sunny skies expected Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures are forecast to reach 29 C on Monday and soar to 32°C on Tuesday, marking the hottest day of the forecast period.
With several days of strong sunshine and high UV levels expected, residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, seek shade during peak afternoon hours, and use sunscreen when spending time outdoors.
