2-alarm fire damages commercial building in Montreal’s Lachine

A two-alarm fire severely damaged a commercial building in Montreal’s Lachine borough overnight.
Montreal firefighters (SIM) received 911 calls around 1:45 a.m. to a fire breaking out in a building located on Du Pacifique Avenue, near Montreal-Toronto Boulevard, according to reports.
Over 70 crews were deployed as flames spread to neighbouring buildings.
The building sustained significant damages, but no injuries were reported. Some vehicles in the garage of an auto repair shop may also have been damaged.
The cause of the fire is currently not known.
The eastbound ramp from Highway 20 leading to the Honoré-Mercier Bridge was closed.
