New poll shows support for CAQ dropping, PQ still leads

A new poll shows support for the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) dropping.
The poll by Léger commissioned by TVA Nouvelles and the Journal de Montreal shows that respondents who said they were satisfied with the current CAQ government dropped to 38 per cent. And the party remains in third place with 21 per cent support.
This comes after the Auditor General of Quebec released a report last week showing that the CAQ’s track record on the Northvolt issue cost Quebecers millions of dollars.
The poll shows that the Parti Québécois remains in first place sitting at 30 per cent support, 35 per cent among francophones. Those numbers remain unchanged from a previous the poll.
The Quebec Liberal Party has dropped one point to 27 per cent support – for second spot.
The survey was conducted online from June 12 to 15, 2026, among 1,014 respondents aged 18 and older, and was weighted by age, gender, native language, region, education level, and whether there were children in the household. For comparison purposes, a probabilistic sample of this size would have a margin of error of no more than ±3.08%, 19 times out of 20.
