Fire breaks out on Pointe-Claire fireworks boat; no injuries reported

A boat used for a fireworks display caught fire Wednesday night near Pointe-Claire, prompting an emergency response.

The fire was reported at approximately 10:30 p.m. and was brought under control by 11:08 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Few details were immediately available about the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage. The vessel was being used in connection with a Montreal-area fireworks display.
