Hot, sunny stretch in store for Montreal before weekend clouds return

Montrealers can expect a stretch of hot, sunny weather this week, with temperatures climbing into the low 30s before clouds and the chance of showers return later in the weekend.

Tuesday will be sunny with a high of 28 Celusis, feeling more like 33 with the humidex. A west wind of 20 km/h and a very high UV index of 8 mean residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and use sun protection.

The heat builds Wednesday with sunny skies and a high of 30 C, while the humidex is expected to reach 35.

Thursday will remain hot, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 31 C. Clouds will increase overnight, bringing a 60 per cent chance of showers.

Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high of 28 C before sunshine returns Saturday, when temperatures are forecast to reach 29 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected Sunday with another chance of showers overnight. The unsettled pattern continues into Monday, with cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of showers and a daytime high of 26 C.
