Longueuil police (SPAL) say they are looking for potential victims of a woman who is accused of stealing jewelry while she was housekeeping.
Police say 48-year-old Mélanie Tanguay of Longueuil was in court July 30 in connection with thefts at three seniors’ residences in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and one in Sainte-Julie.
The SPAL did not specify when the alleged thefts took place, only saying they happened “over the past few months.”
Tanguay was charged with theft over $5,000. The allegations against her have not been tested in court.
Authorities believe there could be more victims in Longueuil as well as in neighbouring municipalities.
