BIXI expands to Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Montreal West

BIXI has expanded its bike sharing network to Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Montreal West, the company announced Wednesday.

The company said it has deployed seven stations in high-traffic areas in Dollard-des-Ormeaux with a fleet of 64 bicycles, including 32 electric-assist bicycles and 32 regular bicycles.

In Montreal West, the three new stations extends the bike network in Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce to the Montreal West train station, which now has two stations, up from one.

“This expansion in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Montreal West allows us to strengthen the network’s connectivity and offer residents more options for their daily commutes,” said Christian Vermette, general manager of BIXI Montreal, in a press release.

“It reflects the growing demand for sustainable and flexible mobility solutions.”

The launch follows another expansion in the western part of the island in July when BIXI launched six stations in Dorval.
