Champlain Bridge, Décarie, other closures affecting traffic this weekend in Montreal

Drivers in the Greater Montreal area may be in for traffic slowdowns as road work is expected to affect major roadways, including Samuel De-Champlain Bridge and Décarie Boulevard.

Samuel De-Champlain Bridge, Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

Complete closure between Exit 6 (R-132) on the A-10 West in Brossard and the Boulevard de l’Île-des-Soeurs overpass on the A-15 North in Montreal, including the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge in the northbound direction.

Detour: via Exit 6 (R-132), ramp to R-132 East, Exit 82 (R-134, Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Montreal), and the Jacques-Cartier Bridge.

  • Access from R-132 West.
  • Detour: continue on R-132 West, make a U-turn at Matte Boulevard, take the ramp to R-132 East, take Exit 82 (R-134, Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Montreal), and cross the Jacques-Cartier Bridge.
  • Access from R-132 East.
  • Detour: via the ramp to A-10 East, Exit 8 (R-134, Taschereau Boulevard), Taschereau Boulevard West and Matte Boulevard, ramp to R-132 East, Exit 82 (R-134, Jacques Cartier Bridge, Montreal), and the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
  • Marie-Victorin Boulevard East, between the ramp to A-10 East and the on-ramp from A-10 West. Detour: via the ramp to A-10 East, Exit 8 (R-134, Taschereau Boulevard), West Taschereau Boulevard, Matte Boulevard, and East Marie-Victorin Boulevard, the R-132 East ramp, and Exit 76 (Simard Boulevard).

Highway 15/Décarie, Friday 10:30 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

In Montreal (Côte-des-Neiges and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce boroughs), on the A-15 North (Décarie), the highway is completely closed between Exit 69 (Jean-Talon Street) and the on-ramp from Paré Street.

Detour: via Décarie Boulevard North and Côte-de-Liesse Road East. Heading west (toward A-40, A-520 West, or Marcel-Laurin Boulevard), on Côte-de-Liesse East Road, make a U-turn at the U-turn before Lucerne Road / Sainte-Croix Avenue and take the west service road.

By default: access from Édouard-Montpetit Boulevard and Jean-Talon Street.

Victoria Bridge, Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

Traffic heading toward Montreal will be restricted to the single lane of the west span of the Victoria Bridge (Jacques-Cartier Bridge side).

  • Closure of the east span of the Victoria Bridge (Samuel-De Champlain Bridge side). Traffic will be routed to the single lane on the west span of the bridge (Jacques-Cartier Bridge side) on weekdays, according to the following schedule:
  • toward Montreal: between midnight and noon.
  • toward the South Shore: between noon and midnight.

Highway 10, Saturday 5 a.m. to Sunday 5 a.m.

In Montreal (Le Sud-Ouest borough), on Highway A-10 West (Bonaventure, toward downtown), complete closure between the on-ramp from Île-des-Sœurs and the on-ramp from Gaétan-Laberge Blvd., including the Clément Bridge.

Highway 20 / Jean-Lesage

From Friday, 11 p.m. to Monday, 5 a.m: In Boucherville, on the A-20 East (Jean-Lesage), the highway will be completely closed between Exit 95 (Boulevard de Montarville) and the next on-ramp. Detour: via Exit 95.

From Friday, 10 p.m. to Monday, 5 a.m.: In Boucherville, on the A-20 East (Jean-Lesage), complete closure of Exit 109 and the on-ramp from Rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

Detours:

Exit: via Exit 112 (R-223, Beloeil, Rue Richelieu), Rue Serge-Pepin, Boulevard Yvon-L’Heureux, and Rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

Access: Northbound, take the ramp to A-20 West and make a U-turn at Exit 105, then take R-229 (Bernard-Pilon Street). Southbound, take Trudeau Road, R-229 North, and the ramp to A-20 East.

De Montarville Boulevard, Friday 10:30 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.

In Boucherville, on De Montarville Boulevard heading south, the road will be completely closed between the on-ramps to A-20 West and A-20 East.

Detour: via the ramp to A-20 West, Exit 92 (De Mortagne Boulevard), Volta and Nobel Streets, and Chemin du Tremblay.

Note: De Montarville Boulevard in the northbound direction remains open.

Souligny Ave. W., From Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

In Montreal (Mercier and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve boroughs), Souligny Avenue will be completely closed to westbound traffic between Honoré-Beaugrand Street and the A-25 interchange.

Detour: via Hochelaga and Dickson Streets.
