Body found in Lachine near waterfront, no marks of violence: SPVM

Montreal police (SPVM) say the body of a man in his 30s was found in Lachine on Wednesday morning, near the waterfront.

Authorities add no visible marks of violence could be seen on the body after an initial examination by first responders.

Officials report a call came into 911 around 9:15 a.m. after someone discovered the body not far from René-Lévesque Park. 

SPVM says an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
