Driver in critical condition after collision in Montérégie’s Saint-Rémi

A driver is in critical condition following a collision in Saint-Rémi, in the Montérégie region, that occurred Sunday afternoon.

According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the accident took place around 3:30 p.m. on Route 221, near the intersection with Rang Sainte-Thérèse.

The circumstances surrounding this collision between two vehicles have yet to be determined.

One of the two drivers sustained serious injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries. “We fear for his life,” said Laurie Avoine, SQ spokesperson.

Investigators were expected to go to the scene to analyze it.

Route 221 was closed to traffic.
