Highway 20 westbound access to Highway 13 North reopens after diesel spill forces closure

After an early morning diesel spill forced the partial closure closure of the 20 West access to 13 North, the roads have been re-opened for traffic Tuesday afternoon.

The closure which began around 4 a.m. for a clean up operation ended by 2 p.m., a spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility said.

According to Sûreté du Quebec (SQ), a puncture on the fuel tank of a semi truck caused diesel fuel to spill in the area near the interchange from Highway 13 and Highway 20.

Two of the three lanes of Highway 13 were affected by the incident.
