A man was attacked with a knife Friday in a park in Montreal’s Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough.

Montreal police (SPVM) were called around 12:20 a.m. following a report of an armed assault at the intersection of Mont-Royal Ave. and Augustin-Frigon Street.

Officers who arrived at the scene located the victim with upper-body injuries.

The 23-year-old victim was transported to hospital, where his condition is considered stable, police said.

No arrests have been made.

A large perimeter has also been established around the scene as the investigation continues.
