Quebec election: 900,000 people have voted so far

Nearly 14 per cent of eligible voters in Quebec have cast a ballot so far in the provincial election, according to figures from Élections Québec.
The 13.79 per cent of electors who voted early represents about 900,000 people.
Early voting in the province at the offices of returning officers took place Friday and Saturday. Also Friday, students could vote on campus at participating institutions.
Advance voting at select polling stations began Sunday.

Three ridings recorded a voter turnout of over 20 per cent — all three in the Quebec City region: Louis-Hébert (23.6 per cent), Vanier-Les Rivières (21) and Lévis (20.6).
Rosemont, with a 16.3 per cent voter turnout, is the riding on the Island of Montreal that saw the most electors vote early.
Other Montreal ridings — Acadie (7.9 per cent), Saint-Laurent (7.9), D’arcy-McGee (8) and Marguerite-Bourgeoys (8.4) — all figured in the bottom five for voter turnout.
