Man detained after getting onto tarmac at Trudeau airport

By News Staff

A man was detained after he snuck onto the tarmac at Trudeau Airport in Dorval on Tuesday night.

Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) confirms to CityNews in an email that, “an individual entered the restricted area of the apron yesterday in the early evening. He was quickly apprehended by ADM Airport Patrol and transferred to the [Montreal police] SPVM.”

They add that as a precautionary measure, additional checks were performed on nine aircrafts on the trans-border departure side, which caused delays.

Normal operations resumed gradually after that.

The man was met by SPVM investigators and the file transferred to prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
