Worker hit and killed by unoccupied truck on Pointe-Claire construction site

A man in his 30s was struck and killed by an unoccupied truck on a road work site in Pointe-Claire Thursday morning.

According to Quebec provincial police it happened at around 3:15 a.m. on Highway 40 West near Saint-Jean Boulevard.

The Sûreté du Québec says the worker was outside the vehicle when the truck began moving for an unknown reason and hit him.

He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Quebec’s workplace safety board – CSST – is investigating and well as provincial police.
