House fire in Pierrefonds

A residence caught fire overnight in the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro on Montreal’s West Island.

The Fire department (SIM) received 911 calls about a blaze that started in a one-story home on Lefebvre Street, near Théorêt Street.

A woman was inside the residence during the fire and was treated for smoke inhalation.

According to the SIM, the fire started around 3:45 a.m. and around 30 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

The cause of the blaze and the extent of the damage is still unknown.
