Hit-and-run leaves man in hospital in Montreal

Montreal police (SPVM) are looking for the driver of an SUV after a hit-and-run in the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at the corner of Dubuisson Ave. and des Ormeaux Street.
The victim is a 30-year-old man, who was taken to hospital with severe injuries, but authorities no longer fear for his life.
After hitting the victim, the driver did not make a stop, and fled the scene.
The SPVM said the car is a dark coloured SUV.
The investigation is ongoing.
