Quebec minister announces audit of SAAQ’s IT outage

The Legault government announced Tuesday an audit has been ordered into the SAAQ computer outage that occurred two weeks ago.
The Minister responsible for Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs, Gilles Bélanger, had blamed Microsoft for the situation, but was later contradicted in parliamentary committee.
During Question Period Tuesday afternoon, he announced that he had met with his colleague at Transport, Geneviève Guilbault, and SAAQ officials just prior to the incident.
Bélanger then announced that the results of the audit would be known within four weeks.
