Trois-Rivières co-workers win $20M Lotto Max jackpot

15 employees at a car dealership in Trois-Rivières are now millionaires after winning the $20 million Lotto Max jackpot on June 3.
Each took home $1,333,333, and the winning ticket was purchased at Marché Express in Les Chenaux, which earns a $200,000 commission.
“A major Lotto Max jackpot being won in Québec is excellent news. That a group of co-workers won it is just as excellent for the Mauricie region,” said Isabelle Jean of Loto-Québec.
Christian Dessureault, who buys the group’s tickets, was first to check the results. “Come sit down, my love, it’s worth it!” he told his spouse.
He messaged colleagues: “Have your tickets validated, you’ll be happy… we’re millionaires!”
“It’s a feeling I didn’t think I’d experience anytime soon,” said Nicolas Déziel, the youngest winner.
“You could feel the excitement at work,” said Veronique Leclerc, one winner.
