Longueuil police investigate suspicious death in cemetery

The Longueuil Police (SPAL) is investigating a suspicious death at a cemetery in the Saint-Hubert sector on Sunday.
Police officers arrived at the cemetery on Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Blvd. to assist firefighters with a vehicle on fire responded shortly after 9 a.m.
One person was found dead inside the vehicle, said SPAL spokesperson Jacqueline Pierre.
Moments later, patrol officers apprehended a suspect in the area.
The man, in his 40s, was being held at the police station early this afternoon where he was to be interviewed by major crimes investigators.
An investigation is underway. Traffic is being disrupted on Sir Wilfrid Laurier Blvd., which is closed between Marquis Park and Édouard Blvd.
