SPVM officer injured in Highway 15 collision, life not in danger

A Montreal police (SPVM) officer was injured Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on northbound Highway 15.

His life is not believed to be in danger.

Emergency services were reportedly called to respond to the incident at around 4:30 p.m., near the Salaberry exit, following a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle officer.

According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Ève Brochu-Joubert, the driver allegedly hit the motorcyclist while changing lanes.

The officer was taken to a hospital, and a collision investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
