Two young men in hospital after stabbing in Boucherville

Two men aged 18 and 20-years-old are in hospital after a stabbing in Boucherville Tuesday evening.

Longueil police (SPAL) say they received a 911 call shortly after 7:30 p.m. regarding a stabbing near a business in Boucherville.

Once on the scene the two victims were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The SPAL says their investigation led them to the beach on Île Charron. The area was secured, and a police operation is still underway in the area.

Police say a person of interest is currently in custody and will be interviewed by investigators.

The investigation is ongoing.
